Lecturers are professional educators and scientists whose main task is to transform, develop and disseminate science, technology and art through education to society. A researcher is required to always develop his intellect through quality research which will then have a positive impact on society. International Seminars have an important role in increasing the knowledge and abilities of researchers through international publications. The HETI UNILA project is a project funded by foreign aid from the Asian Development Bank. One of the activities in this project is capacity building for researchers including by participating in International Seminar. This international seminar raised the topic of biomolecular, genetic and degenerative diseases, in accordance with one of UNILA's Excel Integrated Research Center (IRC) centers which is being built at UNILA by the HETI Project. This topic was also chosen because it is in line with the large number of cases of non-communicable diseases due to genetic and degenerative changes in Indonesia. Ladies and gentlemen, through this conference it is hoped that this international
seminar can become a means for seminar participants to be able to make oral presentations regarding research that has been carried out and articles that have been prepared for presentation and hopefully can be published in proceedings or journals indexed by Scopus and/or ISBN. With this hybrid International Conference on Medical Science & Health (ICOMESH), it is hoped that this activity can become an active effort for universities, especially Unila, to continue to support the efforts to prevent genetic and degenerative disorders towards a healthy Indonesia, both through educational activities, research and through collaborative activities established with various partners. Finally, congratulations on your participation at the International Conference on Medical Science & Health (ICOMESH) and its supporting activities. Hopefully what we do today can provide benefits for the progress of the Indonesian nation.
Thank you.
